Different battery chemistries offer distinct advantages:
LiPo batteries are most common in drones due to their high power-to-weight ratio and ability to deliver sudden bursts of power. They typically operate at 3.7V per cell and come in configurations like 3S (11.1V) or 4S (14.8V). Li-ion batteries offer better energy density and cycle life but are generally used in larger commercial drones where weight isn't as critical. Some newer drones use hybrid chemistries to balance performance and safety.
